Sound Sprinkles
Sound Sprinkles is a ceiling loudspeaker distributed system calculator. It is a program developed by HX Audio Lab and distributed freely for public. Sound Sprinkles calculates the recommended loudspeaker placements and predicts the direct sound pressure level in the room.
Sound Sprinkles does not use the complete loudspeaker polar data, but uses an extrapolation of the loudspeaker's horizontal and vertical beamwidth (-3dB, -6dB, -9dB and -12dB). Unlike common ceiling distributed system calculator, Sound Sprinkles extrapolates horizontal and vertical dispersion of a loudspeaker to an elliptical shape, allowing non-conical dispersion loudspeaker to be used as ceiling system. Sound Sprinkles provides advanced parameters/variables to design a ceiling distributed system. Specific manual is not available and help is integrated in the software as pop-up messages. Sound Sprinkles features:
Ellipse extrapolation, enabling non-conical (i.e 90x40, 90x60) loudspeakers to be arranged in distributed system more precisely.
Data includes loudspeaker's beamwidth at -3dB, -6dB, -9dB and -12dB.
Sloped floor auto arrange mode.
Density is not limited by high, medium, low. There are more than 10 choices of density.
Automatic calculation of -6dB projection on the audience area.
